I`m a job!?

I’m a job?
Like many of us who write on this and other great sites for budding authors, I am beginning to understand how much of an opportunity this is. When you are beginning to look at earning money through writing on the web it is simply overwhelming. The amount of information out there is just staggering.
There are people who apply their existing business acumen and knowledge to the web and do very well. Then there are people like us, just people. We not really sure what we want from the web and in a way we are learning just what we can be if we open up and be ourselves.
This is the feeling that I am getting the more I read other peoples stories of starting out in writing or blogging. The underlying messages are; do what you love, tell everyone about your hobby or passion, show us how, show us pictures, write what you love to think about and get it out there.
This is not a job, this is just being your self and that to me is a very exciting concept. I think I can work like that; I have lived, I have knowledge, I have experience, I think I am turning into a job!?
This is not just well meant optimism from fellow writers. This is what I am hearing from seasoned marketing gurus and super affiliates who`s books and courses are all over the internet. If you read between the lines of these “how to” manuals, you will hear the same message. The tools to make it happen are the same for everybody; google ads, affiliate marketing, SEO content writing, pay per click, Click-Bank etc etc…... You can learn about all of these tools for free, they are not state secrets and you will also be able learn greatly from the good people who write articles on their own learning experiences. The trick is that magic ingredient that makes what you’re doing real to the reader, and that magic is you.
An old saying in the world of selling is that “people buy from people”. Even now with the internet people still want to buy from people. E-commerce is evolving into a network of individuals passing on information, contacts recommendations, reviews and advice. We are all affiliates in that we are constantly networking with each other to make things happen. This evolution has not been lost on the big business players and so the home-spun blog now has as much potential to succeed as a multi-million dollar set up.
I am ready to devote a few hours a week to make my dreams become a reality. I have started already and am still completely amazed that I have actually earned a few dollars from simply putting my thoughts online. I have a mortgage and family so I won’t be quitting the day job just yet but, I will be chipping away at something very special instead of sitting in a TV coma every evening. That very special something is me. You and me. We are the magic that makes things special and real so let’s get it out there, do it, and support each other along the way. Namaste my friends.
